Java Cultural Arts Society

Today I will try to discuss about the arts of Java that I summarized from various sources. I take the example of Javanese gamelan is a musical ensemble that usually highlight metallophones, xylophone, drums, and gongs. The music created in the Javanese gamelan gong sound comes from the alloy, kenong and other Javanese musical instruments. Rhythm of the music is generally soft and reflects the harmony of life, as the life principle adopted by the Java community in general.

Javanese gamelan instruments consist of the following:
Drums, Bonang, Bonang successor, demung, Saron, Peking (Gamelan), Kenong & Kethuk, Slenthem, Gender, Gong, Xylophone, fiddle, Siter, Flute, kempul

Traditional musical instrument called the gamelan comes from the Javanese culture, which are still preserved in the Palace of Yogyakarta and Surakarta (Solo).

Indeed, in Java there is a wide range of interest, such as Javanese, Sundanese, Betawi, Madura, and Tengger Baduy different languages and customs, but the culture of art they are almost the same, although there are some differences and it shows the diversity of cultures in Indonesia, particularly in Java.
